Pickup & Drop Off

A School Zone is a busy and potentially dangerous place for students. Courtesy and cooperation is essential in order to eliminate possible hazardous conditions.

• Parents dropping off students in the morning should use the upper level parking lot/entrance. The lower entrance is for the busses.

• Parents picking up students at the end of the day should use the upper level parking lot/entrance. You need a pick-up sign to pick your child up after school. The office has the signs available. Please do not stop behind cars or busses in a way which may obstruct the view of other drivers.
• If there are changes in pick-up transportation for your child, you must notify the office.

Attendance

Students learn best when they are consistently in school and able to collaborate with their peers and teachers. However, there are times where illness and unforeseen circumstances require a student to be absent.

Shakopee Public Schools parents and guardians can submit a student absence for any student in grades K-12 online in Infinite Campus in addition to calling a school's attendance line.
